Quilt picture

The Folsom Quilt and Fiber Guild used to make a smaller version of their
opportunity quilt to be presented to the winner of the most sold opportunity
tickets. The year was 2002 and the theme of the show was "Come Stroll
Through Our Garden".
The quilt was designed by Melinda Bula and Emma Allebes. It was constructed
by Emma Allebes. I was the lucky recipient of this quilt and it has hung in
my dinning room walls for years since winning this beautiful quilt.
The crow doll that is attached was one I purchased at a craft show.

On another note one year Emma presented small muslin angel dolls to our
circle of friends group. Mine sits prominently on my tree every year.

What is Your Emma Story?

This blog is a chance to remember and honor Emma by bringing us together in a way that can only be done through a medium like the internet. We love her, we will miss her, but she's here for a short time still, and we want to smile and cry and laugh together with her as much as possible while we can.

Emma has touched a monumental number of lives through her work as a mother, grandmother, friend, teacher, artist, and to Ted as a dear wife. There are countless stories that have already been told many times, and there are many others that we're going to learn for the first time as we read them here.
