Dear Family and Friends of Emma:
I am so sorry to learn of Emma's passing but happy to know that her suffering was short-lived. I have so many wonderful memories of Emma and her wonderful creations. She brought joy to my heart and a smile to my face. I am particularly grateful to her for the support she gave my own creative efforts. She will be missed.

I first met Emma at Tayo's when my sewing teacher and friend, Barbara Sharpe, sent me there to find fabric for a coat. Emma helped me find just the right wool and lining. I visited the store many times over the years, always getting help from Emma and then Shenna when she took over the business. Then, I took a class from Emma through ASG and began to understand her special gift for creating eye catching garments. Not being a quilter, I missed out on so much of what she had to share. I'm so glad now that I took the time to see her art on display in a gallery in Folsom a few years back. Anything that Emma made was always a highlight of the Folsom Quilt and Fiber Guild fashion show and garment display. It was obvious she loved being part of the sewing world. I will always remember her welcoming smile and the hint of mischief in her sparkling eyes.

Shenna, thank you for allowing us to share our thoughts about your mom as you and your family cared for her in her last days and mourn her passing.
